Three gold medals at IWSC 2024
We are thrilled to announce that we’ve been awarded gold for three of our Mythical Beasts whiskies in The International Wine and Spirits Competition 2024!
Among a panel of Master Blenders, Master Distillers, Buyers from on-trade and off-trade, Spirits Educators, Consultants and renowned Spirits Communicators we scored:
- 96 for our Mannochmore Single Malt 15 year old
- 95 for our Bruichladdich Single Malt 13 year old
- 95 for our Caol Ila Single Malt 13 year old
We are very proud of our Mythical Beasts whiskies, which represent the very best casks we come across. Here's a bit more on each of our gold medal winners.
Mannochmore 15 Year Old, PX Finish, 52.7%
Cinder toffee nose with stewed apples and raisins. Sweet on the palate with brown sugar and dried fruit notes. Praline, hazelnut gâteaux, coffee, and cocoa notes. Finish with a touch of earthiness.

Bruichladdich 13 Year Old, Callejo Wine Barrique, 54%
Rich caramel aromas combining with juicy fruit, smoke, treacle tart, raisin, fig, sherried oak, fresh and dried apricot, and subtle coastal elements merge into a balanced palate. Balanced with great concentration, mouth filling with elegance and ending on a dry finish.

Caol Ila 13 Year Old, PX Finish, 54%
Intense aroma characteristics on the nose showing bright fruit notes, fermenting nectarine, barley sugars, peat studded citrus, honey, powerful cask, and chestnut notes combining with a savoury sweet and saline well-balanced palate showing concentration which follows through to the finish.
